Guyana update: The following is taken from two recent letters written by Fr. Aloysius Church and Fr. Terence Petry on the present situation in Guyana, and tells of the arrest of the Jesuit Regional Superior, Fr. Malcolm Rodrigues.
Fr Anthony Lawn, RC Chaplain at Wandsworth Prison, hit the headlines last May in the Observer when he and Fr Daniel Berrigan SJ were featured in the Pendennis columns as 'The altar egos'. They had been engaged as advisers to the director of the film The Mission about the Jesuit Reductions in Paraguay. They were there to 'teach the actors how to behave and think like Jesuits!'
