Campion Hall Lecture - Pope Francis

Campion Hall is excited to welcome Dr Austen Ivereigh for the first Campion Lecture of 2020, in which he will give a talk entitled "The Papacy of Francis: Conversion & Resistance."

Dr Austen Ivereigh is Fellow in Contemporary Church History at Campion Hall and one of the leading interpreters of the Papacy. He is a writer, journalist and commentator, formerly deputy Editor of The Tablet.

His latest book ‘Wounded Shepherd’ follows from ‘The Great Reformer: Francis and the making of a Radical Pope’, and is an account and analysis of the often-turbulent reform led by Jorge Mario Bergoglio. It draws on three years research in Rome, Latin America and the United States and involves interviews with key participants, as well as the Pope himself.
