IN THE STEPS OF IGNATIUS FOR PROJECT BAKHITA
On September 26th four intrepid walkers will once again set off from Farm Street to walk in the steps of St Ignatius of Loyola in Catalunya. The team of four includes two Jesuits, Fr Dominic Robinson SJ and Fr Trieu Nguyen SJ, who will be joined by parishioners Marie Wilson and Sandra McNally as they walk for seven days in the footsteps of St Ignatius.
This year we will be walking from Verdù, the birthplace of St Peter Claver SJ, ‘Slave to the Slaves’, to Manresa.
The money raised goes directly to Project Bakhita, the anti-human trafficking project led by Cardinal Vincent in conjunction with the Home Office and Metropolitan Police. Last year we raised more than £35,000 for refugee projects in Syria from the Ignatian Camino. For Project Bakhita we have been set an overall target of £360,000.
Please do consider giving what funds you can.
Thank you for your support and prayers.
